Raija's 1st grade conference

We had Raija's conference this afternoon. It went very well we are so happy for her. We were a little behind I felt when we moved in last November. Raija is a go getter and didn't let anything hold her back though. She is in top percentage in her class with all A's. They were very impressed with her writing, she has been writing journals for awhile now. School here has been very intense and she has excelled. She is reading and taking tests daily on the computer on the books she reads,and reciting poems in front of the class. She is involved in the walking program as well. The teacher said she is her go to helper because she is so good at helping without being bossy. She is so compassionate and loving with her peers, she is aware if someone is hurting or needs help. She is always willing to go above nd beyond. The only feedback we received is to challenge her more at home and encourage her to do things out of her comfort zone. She is also so sweet hearted that she can easily be upset by what others say or how they say it. So we will have to work on not getting emotional when they do peer reviews. God has truly blessed us with a special girl. Who knows maybe soon she will teach me how to spell and write appropriately!
