Happy Monday all! We are getting settled back into another school week. We just had a great 2 weeks with my mom. With my mom here I was able to get so much done and that felt good. We cleaned out girls toy room and rearranged to make it more practical and they now have a table to do art on which is what we do 90% of the time. We debated and went back and forth on what we were going to do as far as rooms. I did not want to lose our guest room (I still want lots of visitors). All in all we decided to keep all girls in the same room. They are all currently sleeping in their own beds all night. As you know this is a huge feat as they were constantly getting in our bed. I will add pics so you all can see. In our house here we have an extra large master so we decided to put baby in our room. Mom and I were able to get out and do some shopping for baby! That was a lot of fun! We bought his bedding and blankets and of course some cute outfits! I am getting really excited to welcome baby boy into our home. I was really nervous and unsure about the new addition but feel a peace this is God's plan for our family, and we were meant to raise a boy after all! Little guy is going to know lots of love with 1 big mommy and 3 little mommies! While my mom was in town I was able to volunteer at the school in girls classrooms. I REALLY loved this. Ruby had a rough few weeks when school started and I was really concerned for her. She has had a complete 180 and is on the right track. Ty helped a lot she takes everything he says to heart and truly listens to him, this is an awesome thing to see. Your a great dad Ty! Ruby has no more tears at drop off no clinging or screaming. What a relief it is so hard to leave your baby when they are upset! She is doing well in class and we have watched her bloom academically. We couldn't be more proud of her. It was so fun volunteering in her class. They make it a big deal and she got to introduce me and stand up with me as they sang a little thank you song to us for helping(me) and her sharing her mom. She beamed at this and loved ever minute. It was great to see how she is doing as well as the other level kids are at in her class. It helped calm so worries for me academically. She continues to make getting dressed for the day our most challenging part of the day but I have let most of this not phase me. She is truly her own little fashionista! Raija is truly amazing and excelling at school (she blows my mind). She loves her routine, she wants to arrive at school early at 7:45 and she goes to the Library checks out 2 books and takes an AR test on the computer on the 2 she read the night before. She has already meet her 1st AR goal and gets to go to the ice cream party in October. She is reading and test completely on her own. She then goes and participates in the walking program. They walk laps and the PTA logs it and they receives prizes as they meet walking goals. Then class starts at 8:20. Last week I went with her in the mornings and it was fun seeing her independence and interaction with her friends! She enjoyed having me go with her. She wants to be involved in everything. which is great but overwhelming at times. She just finished an extracurricular project which was an art project with the theme " My Story". We used a map and she drew pics of our move from Iowa to California, I will upload pics. It is a national competition, she thought that was cool. She is great at making friends and continues to be a bright positive light for all. She is also enjoying her 1st grade class at church and memorizing versus from the bible and getting a lot more detailed discussions about the Lord. Her birthday is Friday and we are having a party Saturday with some of her friends at school. She cant wait. Our Renna girl is still the happiest little nugget she makes us laugh everyday! She is following in Ruby's foot steps with fashion and we have to wear a dress almost everyday. She is becoming more and more independent and we are enjoying watching her grow. She is obsessed with horses and we have to watch horseland on Netflix daily. She has a stick horse we take with us everywhere and entertain people with her galloping around yelling "hee-yah Scarlet, go girl!" We are getting excited for the next months with holidays and birthdays. I made a few new lady friends from the girls school which I am way excited about and have had a few playdates and one night out with out kids. We are finally getting settled and feeling more happy here. We were sad to see mom go but look forward to her next visit. PS I barely have time to type all this out so disclaimer... I am not proof reading and my spelling and grammer stink. So hope everyone can get through it all and it makes sense.
